Description
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:*Capture red lines and as-built revisions from all departments to incorporate them into the permanent electrical drawing package per company's drafting standards
*Create new electrical drawings
*Interface with mechanical, controls, production, QC and other related departments on the project from start to finish to ensure proper documentation
*Recognize and identify wiring and design errors and issues and recommend solutions or consult with proper parties to resolve issues
*Work with other highly motivated employees to ensure customer success
*Provide technical support to other drafters, designers and staff and perform special projects as assigned
?Desired Skills and Experience
Education:
Associates Degree
Experience:
5 years experience in electrical drafting/design
Oilfield drafting experience preferred
Technical Abilities:
*Comprehensive use of AutoCAD 2011
*Knowledge of ABS, DNV and IEEE-45 recommended practices for shipboard installation desirable but not mandatory
*Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, generators, motor controls, wire and cable installation design
*Ability to accurately depict control and power systems on electrical drawings for ease of construction, operation and troubleshooting
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (10%)
