PDG+creative is looking for a web developer with the following skills/qualifications. Please rate yourself on a scale from 1-10:

Required:

  • Fuent in coding/debugging HTML5/CSS3 websites by hand
  • Ability to quickly turn PSD into working HTML5/CSS3 static website  by hand
  • Competent at using jQuery/JavaScript for basic tasks
  • Experience correcting front end bugs / cross browser compatibility issues (IE7+ mostly)
  • Basic understanding of LAMP stack and PHP/MySQL dynamic websites
  • Enough PHP knowledge to be comfortable working with basic dynamic website templates tasks (PHP/MySQL), such as:
  • Knowing how opening / closing PHP tags work
  • Changing the value of a PHP variable
  • Working within basic strings / echo functions
  • Understanding how if / else statements work
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and follow basic coding standards
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients on troubleshooting/update requests
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and is resourceful in learning methods to accomplish tasks in the most efficient manner
Bonus:
  • Local developer who can work in house with the interactive team
  • 1+ years PHP development experience
  • 1+ years MySQL database architecture experience
  • 1+ years experience with DNS management
  • Basic server admin ability (using program like WHM/cPanel)
  • Solid understanding of OOP principles and ability to apply them
  • Experience developing with an open source CMS (besides Wordpress)
  • Understanding of VCS workflow using .git
