Project environment
A global Swiss Bank is looking for a good "all-rounder" software developer to support a strategic project in the area of Firm Wide Methodology, which provides a Windows Server 2008 based Firm Wide Risk platform for mathematical and statistical calculations. As a developer you are working closely with the project team and the infrastructure engineering teams.
Tasks
• Support in various UNIX and DB development tasks (Oracle, PL/SQL, Perl, KSH, Solaris packaging).
• Implementation and troubleshooting on Windows in PERL, BAT files and Powershell.
• Assisting third level support to end users with solving of problem tickets.
Requirements
Must have:
• Several years of experience with
o UNIX, ideally Solaris/OLU in the banking environment,
o PERL, Shell Scripting and Java,
o Oracle and PL/SQL programming.
• English (spoken & written).
Nice to have:
• Solaris Packaging, Oracle PKI, Subversion and Redwood Cronacle / JCS.
• Win Server 2008, Active Directory / Group Policy / Windows Firewall / IPSEC.
• Citrix and Remote Desktop, Matlab, SAS, R and / or Stata.
• experience with Windows Server 2008.
• experience with Java programming.
• Windows Powershell, BAT scripts and VBScript.
• German language.

• Ability to integrate and participate in a project team.
• Quick understanding and analysing complex issues and address challenges arising during the software development process (both conceptually and technically).
• Problem solving in a structured and coordinated manner, the results are documented accordingly.
• Independence, reliability, ability to work under pressure, as well as a dedication towards a high degree of quality, are second nature.
