Description
Software EngineerSpecific duties are:
* Responsible for the quality and reliability activities for Neuromodulation products that include software.
* Understand therapy (clinical) performance, product function(s), and product use environments to appropriately and strategically apply technical knowledge, reliability tools and reliability methodologies to drive reliability improvements.
* Drive the identification and proper collection of performance objectives, design requirements, measures and metrics. Implement to meet these criteria in collaboration with Design Engineering, Operations Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and other cross-functional partners.
proactively design in reliability and demonstrate that Medtronic NEUROMODULATION products/systems perform as expected in all use environments throughout their intended life; e.g.,
o Collect performance data - analyzing legacy performance
o Identify those risks associated with software
o Transform risk assessment and performance data into system or software requirements recommendations
o Ensure robust system and software design through design reviews and the application of other reliability techniques, such as FTAs and FMEAs
o Determine when product/system can be released, based on a software and system reliability perspective
o Analyze system and software test coverage, determine gaps, and feedback to Development
o When appropriate, design and implement reliability testing
o When appropriate, determine and implement reliability growth metrics
o Audit development process to ensure compliance as needed to assure compliance to organizational procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
