Description
A leading medical device company, located in Minnesota, is in need of a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to support new qualifications of new suppliers and devices. The company specializes in developing combination products which will increase patient care.The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the supplier monitoring program
- Provide quality assurance technical leadership and support to receiving inspection area
- Manage the supplier performance program and interface with suppliers to drive corrective action
- Interface with production to implement supply chain improvements
- Lead supplier qualification activities including conducting audits and assessments of current or future suppliers
- Author supplier quality plans and reports outlining qualifications requirements and test plans
The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer must meet the following requirements:
- B.S. technical or scientific discipline
- Experience with combination products is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the medical device industry
- Minimum of 3 years experience supervising people
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with quality systems
- Strong understanding of supplier quality
- Project management experience
- Excellent communicator
