Description
Investigate 150 to 200 ingredients and determine if suppliers and plants are in compliance with new FDA ruling for "Gluten Free" Claims.Some responsibilities will include:
Investigate ingredients
Request "Gluten Free Addendum"
Review for Compliance
Request supporting documentation and lab data
Implement protocols at plants and suppliers to ensure on-going compliance.
SKILLS:
Qualifications:
Food Science or Food Engineering Degree
5-10 years' experience (protocols, formulations)
Exposure to the new FDA rules is a plus
Work independently, contribute to the team and self-solve issues or obstacles.
Navigate social structures internally and with suppliers
Able to earn credibility quickly with the plants and lead change
Experience with Meridian is a MUST
