SQL/SAS/R/MapReduce/Pig/Hive/Splunk/HadoopA new social media site are looking to move into the area of analytics of user data. They are expanding, with the beta version of thier site launched.
As a webiste they are focusing on new ways to collect, organise and analyse content from the web.
What they will be looking to do in 2 months time, once thier user base has expanded, is to use cutting edge analytics solutions to gain real insight into customers.
They will be using new analytic techniques and methods, as the majority of thier data is unstructured, and based in the cloud.
They also understand that knowledge of this kind of technology is not common at the moment, and are willing to wait out a notice period, or for a re-locate.
They will be using tolls such as -
- Pig
- Hive
- Splunk
- Hadoop
- R
- Mapreduce
They are looking for candidates from a similar background, perferably from E-Commerce or social media data projects, although they will happily look at anyone with the skills!
The rate will be around the £550 P/D mark, and the initial project will be 6 month minimum, with the potential to extend, or go permenant if you want to!
