Description
I am working with an Acute NHS Trust to appoint an interim Divisional Head of Clinical Governance. This is a new post within the Trust and the key responsibilities of the role will be:- Take full responsibility for Clinical Governance and Risk Management within your Division
- Work with Divisional Operations Managers to ensure short and long term improvements to Patient Safety
- Lead on improvements to the Board Assurance framework
- Act as Trust lead for SI's and Never Events
- Prepare the Trust for future CQC and MONITOR assessments
- Take leadership of Departmental complaints
- Improve the quality of written reports in relation to SI's, Complaints and Clinical interventions
- Review all Clinical Governance policies ensuring they are up to date and meet the required legislative and safety standards
To be considered for this post you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven Clinical Governance experience at Senior Management or Director level
- An understanding of all current NHS Clinical Governance requirements
- Understanding of KEOGH and FRANCIS reports and their implications
- Proven experience in SI's, Never Events and Complaints
- Knowledge of current CQC and MONITOR regulations
- Experience in using the DATIX system
- Nursing experience / background (Desirable)
