You will
* Be the Technical Owner for assigned Data Acquisition systems and Roadmap
* Be the Technical Lead for Critical Data Acquisition Programs working closely with the Project and Program Managers
* Be responsible for providing Technical Leadership and direction to developers
* Need to collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture Team in implementing successful solutions in line with the Corporate Strategy
* Establish Trust and close collaboration with customers
* Be able to manage conflicting proposals, driving through resolution with all key stakeholders
* Design, develop and implement efficient and high performing data capture and collection technology
* Automate data collection and create new data collection capabilities
* Contribute and drive the successful implementation, integration and utilization of new future-oriented Technology platforms
* Work with heterogeneous Health care data (Pharmacy, Wholesaler, Hospital, Doctor) from various sources created within different domain areas and technologies.
* Ensure that commercial, open-source and in-house solutions comply with the overall Strategic Architecture & Information Landscape
* Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the end to end design and implementation meets the business and strategic requirements
* Work in a global, multi-cultural and fast moving environment
* Manage a team of offshore employees and/or Software Solution vendors as needed
* Be organised, structured/disciplined, self-managing and delivery focused
This particular skill set will be used to build our in-house skills in the area of Data Extraction at suppliers (especially, but not limited to pharmacies) and work against the upcoming requirements from our Data Supply Management team. The current Projects in the area of Pharmacy Interfaces, Authentication and Serialisation are of huge scale.

Who you are
As an Application Architect you have mastered the value, use, development and delivery of software intensive systems. You have developed skills in software development lifecycles, software engineering and software design. You are responsible for communicating and documenting software concepts to all levels of management and for ensuring that expected quality attribute levels are achieved.

You are not afraid of new technologies and would rather keep abreast of these, exploiting opportunities they offer for putting ******* ahead of competition. * Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics or a Ph. D in natural science or life science with strong emphasis on Informatics
* Very strong experience of Data Acquisition software and technologies
* Very strong logical thinking skills for troubleshooting.
* Excellent skills in Managed File Transfer (MFT), Data Integration and ETL Tools
* Experience in tuning and performance optimization of data acquisition solutions
* Good knowledge and experience in ETL design and implementation concepts and tools
* Excellent knowledge and/or experience in Batch and Realtime Data Acquisition, ETL, and Data Quality Management tools e.g. Informatica, Trillium, SAP etc
* Good knowledge in operational design, support management and life cycle management
* Very good human interaction skills and an experience in consulting with external Suppliers
* Good Data modelling skills (conceptual, logical/physical model design) and basic knowledge in the design, implementation and management of Kimball and Inmon style Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.
* Strong abilities in the production and management of system/code documentation.
* Experience in Java, SOA, WSO2 (Data Services), .NET and C# based application development frameworks and technologies
* Excellent knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL database implementations
* Solid understanding of web portal design and implementation principles
* Excellent analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and a structured working style
* Experience in Technical Project Management
* Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
* Pharmaceutical, Medical or Biomedical background would be a distinct advantage.
* Any exposure to Prince 2, ITIL or TOGAF is a clear advantage.
