Description
Do you enjoy variety in your professional life? Interested in some real-time JavaScript wizardry? We are looking for experienced front-end engineers with an emphasis on JavaScript for a role building awesome web applications with maps and imagery for our client.
You must have:
- 3+ years of professional experience with advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX
- 1+ years of professional experience working with Backbone.js
- be able to work on-site in the Peninsula area (e.g. Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto and surrounding areas)
- be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (sorry, no H1 visas)
- write elegant, efficient and maintainable HTML5, CSS3 and object-oriented JavaScript code using agile practices that work across multiple browsers and devices (Chrome, Firefox, iPad, etc‚)
- work with Program Managers to ensure on-time delivery of features, accurate time estimates on tasks, communicating on issues or lack of spec clarity, etc.
- fixing and addressing bugs as necessary
- has a deep understanding of DOM, XML, JSON, and JSONP
- has 3+ years of professional experience with at least 3 of the following: web standards, cross-browser compatibility, web accessibility, MVC, and OOD/OOP
- is passionate about Front End Development, the Internet and where technology can take us
- does this stuff for fun as well as for work
- experience with geospatial data libraries such as Google Maps API and MapBox is a plus
