Quality Manager - £45,,000 plus benefits - Kent

An American based, global medical device company who are focusing on their European growth are now recruiting for a QA Manager to work between their two sites in the UK and France.

This is a key role within a targeted area of growth in the business and will provide a large amount of scope and the opportunity for progression within an established and profiting global organisation.

The Role:

Provide quality oversight and auditing to European-based raw material/ component/ packaging suppliers and third party manufacturers. Lead continuous improvement activities with these parties to support/highlight product, process and production issues. Ensure these parties comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Audit European based suppliers & contract manufacturers.
  • Development of the annual audit plan for routine audits based on business risk.
  • Establish a functional program to both review and approve audit CAPAs.
  • Monitor and report supplier quality performance.
  • Provide a quality overview for the incoming raw material, component, packaging and third party finished good inspection program to detect any non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with non-conforming facilities to identify root causes, agree on CAPA, and monitor improvements.
  • Liaise with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve quality and technical problems.
  • Establish quality standard agreements with components and third party finished product suppliers.
  • Day to day management responsibility for the QA Packaging Function.

Skills/Experience Required:
  • Knowledge of consumer product, medical device and or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, auditing of manufacturing operations for medical devices, OTC and or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Knowledge of regulations and requirements for medical devices, OTC and consumer goods products.
  • French speaking is a desirable skill
