I am currently seeking a Performance Lead to work with the NHS in the South of England on 6 month basis, with a view to an extension.

You will be required to have:

- Significant experience of working directly in a performance
environment.
- Relevant health care (or equivalent) experience.
- Experience of working with statutory committees.
- Experience of collating and interpreting highly complex performance
data for presentation at Board level.
- Analysis and collection of large, complex data sets.
- Experience of working in an organisation under public and political
scrutiny.

- In depth knowledge of NHS performance environment, processes and
systems.
- Good understanding of national health care policy.
- Excellent skills in analysis, interpretation and presentation of
complex data
- Excellent report writing skills
- Advanced use of interrogation, storage and analysis tools for
complex data sets.
- Logical and systematic data handling and storage.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to secure the co-operation of colleagues at all levels.
- Highly developed interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in order to meet specific deadlines.
- Ability to explain complex matters to lay persons.

Daily Tasks Will Be:

- Monitor performance against strategic plans, business objectives
and performance targets / indicators, including the Operating
Framework, QIPP and Reform Plans and Operating Plans
- Identify areas of poor performance and work with responsible
managers to ensure performance improvement plans are agreed and
implemented
- Take an active role in designing, and the day to day management of
performance management systems
- Work across the Planning and Performance to:
  • Facilitate alignment between strategic objectives, QIPP programmes and non-financial targets / deliverables
  • Facilitate 'joined up' performance and programme management, ensuring that delivery of QIPP and Operating Plan programmes and delivery of non-financial targets are aligned
  • Streamline processes where appropriate
  • Support the identification and establishment of KPIs for QIPP schemes.


- Timely monitoring of targets and KPIs, data is complete and of high
quality
