Description
I have a requirement for an experienced pharmaceutical Proofreader to assist with promotional material review for the launch of a new product (12month contract, New Jersey). I am looking for someone with 5 years professional proofreading experience in pharmaceutical industry or ad agency; BA/BS Degree preferred.The Pharmaceutical Proofreader will be responsible for:
* Proofreading promotional materials to ensure error-free work (checking for correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, format, size/specs, codes, disclaimer copy, and adherence to AMA)
* Review materials at multiple stages of a job - art proofs, printer proofs, laser signoffs, interactive test files, etc
* Perform straight reads as well as proofread against changes
* Proofread assigned materials within specified timeframe and enter comments into electronic workflow system (iTRAC)
* Correct errors by clearly marking copy, using standard proofreading marks, and apply those changes/edits consistently within the document
* Fact check information as appropriate to the project
* Reorder references as required and ensure accuracy of reference citations
* Demonstrate ability and flexibility to organize, prioritize, and maintain workload for many projects simultaneously
* Follow project timelines and work closely with the Marketing Operations team to ensure
* Attend Copy Review Committee (CRC) meetings on an as needed basis
Skills/Knowledge Required:
-5+ years of professional proofreading experience required
-Excellent command of the written English language
-Knowledge of standard proofreading practices and procedures
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat commenting tools
-Pharmaceutical/ad agency experience preferred
-BA/BS Degree preferred
