Computer Futures are seeking x2 Senior SQL Server DBA/Developers with strong interpersonal skills to maintain and update existing applications and support the implementation of new systems.
My client is a market leading organisation based in OXFORD who our now expanding rapidly.
The ideal candidate will have a skill set to include as many of the following:

* Databases and Applications
* Maintain and develop SQL Server databases and associated reporting tools
* Implement application and system upgrades
* Devise, test and deploy database application fixes and enhancements
* Create new database reports and adapt/enhance existing reports
* Plan and install new database applications and systems
* Provide support to the user community
* Liaise with colleagues in ICT to ensure databases and applications are operating effectively
* Educated to HNC/HND or degree level, ideally with additional technology-specific qualifications (e.g. Microsoft Certification).
* Minimum 3 years' experience working as a SQL Server DBA / Developer
* Specifically, a thorough understanding and experience of:
o SQL Server 2008 database configuration and performance tuning
o Database backup and recovery
o Data migration
o MSSQL and T-SQL
o Query optimisation
o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
o Visual Studio 2012
* Experience of working in a support environment with non-technical users
* Experience of deployment processes/release management
* Experience of source code control
* Experience of defect management systems and processes

These positions are paying up to £43,000 and come with an excellent benefits package that includes Pension and Healthcare.
