NCE with Cable expertise

Below is the high-level job specification I provided, but I consider this standard requirements for customer facing NCEs.
1. Technical Requirements
a. Reactive
i. Significant troubleshooting experience on DOCSIS
ii. Troubleshooting of CMTS issues for the Customer
iii. DOCSIS expertise
iv. UBR10k
vi. HW/SW/Config - also specific customer situation (eventually)
b. Proactive
i. Implement recs from CMTS architect as agreed with the Customer (HW/SW/Config)
ii. Support SW testing process for new releases
iii. Act as customer representative to CABU.
iv. Monitor/perform IOS risk analysis
v. Conduct customer training or knowledge transfer sessions
2. Customer Facing/Commercial Awareness
a. Must be skilled in tailoring recs to the customer network and situation/constraints
b. Ability to understand commercial implications of a technical recommendation (eg, Customer issues with CLM, view on CCAP).
c. Experience dealing with complex customer organizations in which various customer departments may have competing aims. For example:
i. Corp v. Affiliates
ii. Engineering v. Operations v. Architecture v. CIO
d. Experience dealing with and ability to build relationships with complex account teams
i. Large, geographically distributed account team
ii. Diverse System Engineers
3. Certifications/Competencies
a. CCIE preferred
b. CCNP seen as a minimum certification
