SQL DBA required for my client, a gaming company who produce online games in the gambling space. They are looking for a SQL DBA on an initial 3 month contract. They are market leaders in what they do, and have offices based across the UK. The are working with the latest technology, and your skillset will reflect this.The core role will be to lead in building a new SQL server cluster in Windows Azure, putting in to place a backup regime, and designing and implementing a disaster recovery plan. You will also be required to train existing system administrators in SQL management. Alongside this, the ability to make hardware, as well as software recommendations, would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will have extensive SQL Server skills and experience deploying SQL Server on Azure. Demonstrable SQL Server qualifications are a distinct plus.
To emphasise again - my client will not consider candidates that do not have Windows Azure experience.
