Description
The SharePoint Designer is responsible for leading SharePoint development projects which include but are not limited to corporate wide workflows, governance, team site development, and more. At the strategic direction of the Web Services. This position will be required to lead meetings, gather requirements, set expectations around timing and solutions for business partners and have the technical acumen to create the outlined solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, program and maintain SharePoint projects in support of goals and objectives
* Maintain a working knowledge of the file structures and job flows that make up the SAFE production systems.
* Maintain awareness of SharePoint 2010 environment, hardware components and their interrelationships
* Work with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system problems.. Prepare test scenarios and evaluate test results to validate accuracy of programs and procedures.
* Maintain an awareness of trends, products, technical advances and productivity tools. Function as technical project lead on a larger number of projects at one time.
* Develop in line code documentation as well a data diagrams, flow charts and other materials to ensure development standards.
* Consult with business units on best practices for creating and maintaining their team sites and content.
* Analyze meta data associated with corporate content to ensure information is searchable and easy to find.
* Provide proactive suggestions to assist business partner with common business inefficiencies
