Your tasks:
- Execute sourcing strategies, actively realize material cost reductions by product transfer and optimized sourcing
- Evaluate, plan and execute product transfers to cost optimized suppliers in a team with a dedicated production engineers
- Develop supply chains according to the sourcing strategies and supply concepts
- Evaluating feasibility, planning and executing product transfer projects in cooperation with a dedicated manufacturing engineers
- Establishing supply chains with new suppliers, implement and process changes and non-conformities and ensure the desired output quality
- Coordination of internal and external supply chain processes
- Standardize the transfer process and MM activities
- Request and analyse offers for possible product transfers, evaluate the potential including risk and quality and prepare basis for decision-making
- Define requirements and timelines with Manufacturing Engineering, Production and Supplier and prepare project plan
- Track and control timeliness of activities, at supplier and client's site
- Define the general process, material flow, communication and business cooperation (quantity contract, business case pricing) with the supplier in cooperation with the relevant Supply Manager
- Draft and negotiate the necessary contracts in cooperation with the relevant Supply Manager
- Prepare and implement initial batch, and purchasing process for series
- Plan and execute the phase out for the transferred parts/components
- Monitor the risk and ensure delivery ability during cut over
- Develop the toolset for an ongoing monitoring and control of the match between supply chain requirement profile and supplier skills
- Support supplier audits as per client's requirements and audit plans
Your qualifications
- (Master's) degree in supply chain management, industrial management or similar qualification
- Certified lead auditor on ISO 9001
- Education or training in lean manufacturing
- Experience in product transfer function focusing Eastern Europe and/or Asia with strong technical and engineering orientation preferred in medical device environment
- Experience in project management
- Track record in setting-up new suppliers and/or product transfers
- Knowledge in supplier networks in Eastern Europe or Asia
- Experienced in module translocation
- Solid background in contract management
- Able to optimize the supplier relationship by combining supplier and internal processes, building trust, measuring and developing suppliers
- Understanding in the field of quality engineering - having maintained products or subassemblies in series production
- Experience in supplier qualification, auditing and corrective actions processes
- Experienced in working in multicultural environments
- Good experience in SAP
- MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Good German and strong English skills
- Experienced in lean manufacturing and logistics concepts
