The Company:A reputable international company with the offices in Malta is currently looking for a talented Senior Software Developer. The selected candidate will form part of the existing large software development team, and will be reporting to the team lead.
The Role:
The role will involve development of front-end components for web based systems using HTML, CSS and JS technologies and integrating to a Java backend.
Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining front-end components for the e-commerce web platform, that will include widgets and various JavaScript frameworks
Analysing, designing and developing front-end components for platform solutions
Reviewing staging and production environments client side performance and pro-actively improving it
Providing technical input on decisions
Making sure web development follows responsive paradigm
Working closely with other developers in order to implement best practices
Mentoring junior web developers
Organising training sessions
Key Skills & Attributes:
At least 4 years of working experience in development
Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript (AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, etc.), JavaScript Unit Testing, Rapid Prototyping, jQuery, HTML 5 and CSS 3
Working knowledge of backend web server technologies
Experienced in working with front-end template engines and development of high-volume and/or high-availability web applications
Experienced in building large enterprise level systems, multi-user systems that support hundreds of users
Previous experience with a design team building prototypes and functional systems
Passionate for programming
Willing to learn new technologies and techniques
Experience with light weight web servers (eg. Node.js) and knowledge of Spring MVC, Maven and Hibernate will be considered a plus

Fluent in English
