Python Programmer
My Client, a global technology company with operations in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland (20 mins from Dublin city centre) is looking for a Python Programmer to join their team on a contract basis. Responsibilities include the participation in one or more of our projects, the design and implementation of software as well as the documentation of the results. Successful applicants will have a strong background in Python programming, software testing and integrating existing technologies to future services. Knowledge of test driven development and experience with Cloud (eg OpenStack, OpenNebula) and virtualization technologies (eg KVM, Xen) is a plus.
Required skills:
. Operating systems knowledge (eg Linux, Unix)
. Networking and network protocols (eg TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSH)
. Virtualization and containerization (eg KVM, VirtualBox)
. Systems and Scripting programming languages (eg C, Bash, Python)
. Software engineering skills (eg test driven development, Agile methodologies)
Desirable :
. IaaS knowledge (eg OpenStack, OpenNebula)
. PaaS knowledge (eg Google App Engine, Herokue, OpenShift or Cloud Foundry)
