ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Monitor and drive corrective action and continuous improvement activities that directly impact performance for assigned suppliers.

- Implement Part Approval Process (PAP) on critical Parts and Reagents

- Measure supplier performance on key metrics and drive suppliers to achieve desired quality level

- Perform Supplier Audits and follow-up on corrective actions.

- Provide daily support to the manufacturing floor by acting as a liaison between internal customers and outside suppliers assuring prompt and accurate communication exchanges.

- Willingness and flexibility for business travel both domestically and abroad, when required.

- Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.Manager's Must Haves:

1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace or Technology Engineering; Minimum 5 years work experience of which Minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer. Prefer candidate with experience in automotive industry's APQP and PPAP creation and revieweither as a customer or as a supplier. Medical device assembly experience a plus.

2. Ability to read blueprints/part drawings; familiar with GD&T

3. Understands Process Capability and able to calculate/interpret CpK, PpK etc. Good statistical analysis background.

4. Exposure/familiarity with a broad range of manufacturing processes such as metal forming, machining, stamping, sheet metal, powder coating, wire harness assembly, mechanical assembly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, teaming and communication/interpersonal skills (Six Sigma Black Belt, or Certified Quality engineer Preferred).

- Computer competency in Word, Excel, Power Point and databases.

- Practical experience in metrology, test, inspection and analysis techniques.

-Understanding of Quality Systems and process controls and continuous improvement methods (QSRs, ISO9000 or QS9000).

- Primary/Secondary party compliance auditing experience.

- In depth understanding of metrology equipment.

- Statistical Process Control techniques.

- Ability to read Engineering drawings.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Root cause analysis.

Formal Training/Education:

Bachelors of Science in Engineering or other related technical field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years in supplier quality engineering.
