Interim Director of CommunicationsAn experienced Director of Communications is required to join the public sector on an basis based in London. Based within an ideally located area of London with great commuting links this post will be the opportunity for an experienced Director of Communications to inform, lead, manage and implement the communications and engagement strategy and action plan to support the organisation's determination effectively.
This post holder will be required to review, the Communications processes from top to bottom and plan a highly successful process and strategy for the Communications division that will reap short term rewards and be the foundation for future success.
To be considered for the position of Director of Communications & Engagement you WILL NOT require public sector experience. This post is open to both public and private sector experience and will be based upon individual leadership skills and experience.
* Degree educated (communications, marketing, journalism or public relations).
* A strong record of continued achievement in strategic communications at senior level.
* An expert with in-depth knowledge and proven success in performance management, developing communication and engagement strategies and budget management.
* Internal and external relationship management.
* Strategic communication knowledge and best practises.
* Experience of managing conflict and tension in corporate relationships.
* Previously advised others on relationship management.
* People and budget management experience.
* An understanding of how to succeed in a complex matrix organisation.
* Marketing techniques.
* Public sector stakeholder management.
* Varied use of a whole range of communication channels.
