Description
- Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity.
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Assists in the DCO process - initiating and processing in Livelink.
- Purchasing spec changes for revising and creating new parts.
- Creates/edits parts information number charts forms, domestic finished goods catalog number information chart, and document change order forms.
- Updates purchasing specs.
- Participates and represents purchasing in teams related to new product development
- Determines optimum batch sizes and safety stocks to maximize raw material usage, process capability, and production efficiencies.
- Reviews and maintains forecasts for catalog items.
- Analyzes inventory movement in order to ensure proper inventory utilization
- Identifies excess and obsolete inventory and its disposal
Required Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years related experience or equivalent combination.
- 2 or 4 year college degree preferred.
- Experience working within an ERP system (SAP) or Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.
- APICS CPIM certification a plus.
- Strong computer skills required with working knowledge in Windows Office environment.
- General Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling application skills are preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents, instruction or reports.
- Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Thorough understanding of Routings and Bills of Material.
