Description
Job RoleThe purpose of the Principal Safety Case Consultant is to be the technical authority on the development of either one or several safety cases associated with a wide range of nuclear facilities, plant and operations and acts as the main interface with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum first degree qualified or equivalent in an appropriate science or engineering discipline or related subject
Further degree and/or professional accreditation, e.g. MSc, CEng, IChemE, etc, within a relevant field is preferred but not essential
Experience
Expert' experience in the production of nuclear safety cases and/or radiological assessments, in any or all of the following:
Hazard identification
Deterministic and probabilistic safety analysis
Full knowledge of design based risk assessments, hazard studies and safe design principles including: hazard identification, fault schedules, radiological consequence, frequency and deterministic analysis, derivation of safety measures and safety management arrangements
