My client, a leading tier 1 Bank, is looking for a SQL SERVER DBA to join their team in Sheffield. Paying up to £450 per day on a 6 month rolling contract with a long term view.Role: SQL Server DBA
Rate: £450/day
Location: Sheffield
Duration: 6 Months rolling
The role is within the Sheffield based MS SQL Server DBA team. The MSSQL team supports Microsoft SQL Server environments. The team consists of 6 staff, supplemented by Global DBA resources. The team is responsible for:
* Implementation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments and definition of standards pertaining to the configuration and operation of database server and client components.
* Distributed database architecture - MSSQL.
* Security and access control to meet internal and external audit requirements.
* Development of infrastructure and investigation of 3rd party products required to provide production, test and development database services in a cost-effective manner.
* Provision of support and assistance to development teams in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications including provision of such development and testing environments that are required.
* Identification of opportunities to maximize exploitation of current and new products relevant to the provision of database services.
* Compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.
