Role: SAS Developer

Location: Newcastle

Duration: 6 months

Start: ASAP

Rate: £400-£480 per day

Clearance: BPSS with Disclosure Scotland

We are currently recruiting for an SAS Developer role based in Newcastle for 6 months Initially.

You will be working majorly on projects to help develop effective strategies that manage and expand the use of Management Information and Business Intelligence techniques and work collaboratively within the team to gather requirements and deliver the best solutions. You will utilise development skills to promote cutting edge design principles and oversee MI/BI design, development and testing throughout the full BI life cycle.

Responsible for:
Design and programming of SAS matching data strategies and statistical programs
Document algorithms and procedures.
Create and manage large data sets, analyze and reconcile unmatched or exception data.
Develop and maintain SAS databases supporting analysis data activities.
Edit and modify SAS programs to perform logical edits in order to rectify data inconsistencies and anomalies.
Interpret and summarize analyses, and write reports.
Consult with program managers regarding data acquisition, analysis, and requirements.
Maintain data security for all collected data and processed data
This is a sophisticated IT environment and resource will be working alongside highly-skilled colleagues. However, you will also need good communication skills and the ability to communicate with a non-technical audience.

Experience required:
Datamodelling (ERWin preferred),
Base SAS, E-guide,
SAS Database and MI/BI design,
Dimensional modelling,
Oracle 11g, and Oracle PL/SQL.

Qualifications:
Computer literacy and familiarity with programming languages and relevant software is essential to the job
