Solutions Architect - CRM, Case management, High & low Level Design - Coventry
Square one are looking for a Solution Architect to come on board for an initial 3 month contract with a view to extend based in Coventry, United Kingdom.
Role Objective:
To specify and control the design of IS solutions delivered by IS and Business change programmes, ensuring these meet both the business requirements of the programme; the overall IS strategy and longer term direction of the company. To participate in the design authority process for all IS/technology decisions within programmes, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise, Data and Technical Architecture. Take a lead role in initial project feasibility reviewing requirements and defining solutions in line with the Enterprise Architecture. Operate as lead architects on projects delivering High Level Architectural designs and providing design governance and support to deliver solutions in line with the agreed architectural designs. The definition and selection of application and technical/infrastructure and technology solutions.Experience:
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
Essential
Extensive experience in IT gained in a variety of roles across the project and delivery life cycle
Experience at an Architectural level in a medium to large company, with significant application and technical/architectural responsibility.
In depth technical expertise and experience in at least 2 of the following:
Applications development Conceptual, logical and physical design.
Data analysis and Datamodelling at both a systems and enterprise level.
RDBMS, EAI, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence tools and techniques.
Application and technical/infrastructure areas, including areas such as data centre technology, GIS, desktop architectures, distributed/mobile computing, networking, web technology and systems management.
The delivery of IT Services

Experience within the Utilities sector at a senior technical level. Capabilities:
The special technical and visionary skills needed to interpret and define application and technology/infrastructure at an architectural level, with the ability to rationalise and anticipate business needs and build strategic application and technical/infrastructure frameworks that enable these. Strong conceptual skills and visionary thinking, with the ability to create and articulate strategic direction and with the drive to deliver change. A high level of strategic technical skills, with emphasis on the alignment between business process and application and technical/infrastructure architecture. A high level of presentation and communications skills with the ability to communicate confidently with staff at all levels including senior managers and directors. Experience of Data and Process Analysis/Modelling preferably with an awareness of Casewise Corporate Modeller/alternative modelling tools Some knowledge and experience of SSADM & Prince 2 or equivalent
This role is an initial 3 month contract role with a view to extend. This role will be based in Coventry and local resource is highly desirable although not 100% necesarry.
Notwithstanding any guidelines given to years of experience sought, we will consider candidates from outside this range if they can demonstrate the necessary competencies.
