Qualifications
OpenVMS: Experienced
SAN experience is a plus
1) VMS system management
a. VMS experience managing enterprise clusters of 4 nodes or more with 1000 users or more.
b. Alpha and Itanium boot experience including configuration and setup.
c. Strong familiarity with VMS startup management.
d. Scripting/deep level DCL experience.
e. TCPIP and DECnet configuration setup experience.
f. Managing clusters and cluster transitions.
g. Managing shadowsets in disparate datacenters.
h. Fibre path management.
i. DECscheduler experience a plus.
j. Console Works experience a plus.
k. RDB ACMS a plus.
l. ABS a plus.
2) Storage work
a. Managing EVA 8xxx and 5xxx models including adding/deleting hosts, TShoot, rebooting, firmware updates.
b. EVA CA experience.
c. XP 12k and 24k experience. CA and BCVs a plus
d. VLS or EMC VTL experience.
e. NSR/MSL a plus.
3) Fibre/SAN
a. Configure zones.
b. Configure alias.
c. Dual fabric management.
d. DCFM experience a plus.
e. MPR experience a plus.
f. LSAN experience a plus.
4) Team
c. Team player with on shore and off shore resources.
d. Detail orientated. Must be willing to work within a process consistently.
e. Process orientated. Must be willing to adapt to fairly ridged ITIL process environment.
g. Negotiator - can deal with strong personalities.
i. Experience with 7x24 environments and willing to participate.
