Our presitgious client, based in Northern Ireland is established in the engineering and scientific market sectors. With a successful history in the Electric Utility industry, they have been responsible for a range of innovative and widely adopted solutions across global markets.Our client is looking for an experienced electronics/electrical engineer to assist with product compliance on various electronic and electromechanical products. The suitable candidate will be educated to degree level in Electronic/Electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in the product compliance sectors.
Role Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for a compliance engineer include:
- Maintaining CE Declarations of Conformity
- Defining product compliance requirements
- Maintaining standards library
- Setting up, performing and reporting product safety tests
- Setting up, performing and reporting EMC tests
- Advising design engineers and other departments in safety and EMC related issues
JOB DESCRIPTION & PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential criteria:
- Good working knowledge of Low Voltage and EMC directives
- Experience in setting up and performing safety tests
- Experience in setting up and performing EMC tests
- Experience in writing test reports
- Experience in preparation of Technical Files
Desirable criteria:
- BS EN :2001 or 2010
- BS EN 60947 series
- BS EN 61439 series
- Experience in solving EMC emissions and immunity problems
- Knowledge on compliance for products placed in international (non-EU) markets
