System Administrator (FRENCH/ENGLISH)
Project: minimum 12 months
Environment: Bordeaux R&D site
Job description:
- help maintain loval server infrastructure
- participate in the ALM team to administer the application life cycle tools worldwide
- give onsite support for all local HW/SW in bordeaux at level 2/3
tasks:
INFRASTRUCTURE
- participate in R&D infrastructure projects
- participate in the 3th line helpdesk activities
- normal business hours, however the resolution of some issues may require sporadic after hours
- supporting developers PCs, workstations and Servers, as a first & second local line
APPLICATION LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT
- maintain a stable ALM tools environment to enable productive solution development in the business
- implement the ALM tools in the worldwide SD centers
- run upgrade projects to keep the environment productivity tools (subversion, sourceforge, Visual Studio, rational tools)
- solve cross site issues, since the R&D development efforts are typically international
ONSITE SUPPORT
- provide technical software and hardware problem resolution for problems escalated by ICS helpdesk for systems and users located in Bordeaux
- work closely with other ICS teams to provide asset tracking for hardware and software
- clearly communicate technical solutions and company standars in a user friendly and professional manner
SKILLS
- effective communications, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

- VM: VMware
- DEV S/W: subversion, teamforge, Visual Studio, rational tools, quality center
ATTITUDE
self-starter who can work on several different problems and/or projects at one time. Customer-focused with ability to manage customer expectations effectively. Regular travel to Mortsel for coordination necessary.
