Job Details:
Business Analyst
Executing on established SOP's within established SLA's the Candidate will:
Monitor various delivery sites for receipt of data extracts
Download, Decrypt and Store files
Trigger/Maintain ETL processes which will upload the extracts into an appropriate Oracle data warehouse
Execute/Maintain Business Object and other reporting on the Data Warehouse Structure for validating against Contract terms and reconciling with Financial Summaries
Perform manual procedures (using MS/Access, Excel or SQL) to identify, analyze, resolve, and document data issues
Develop/Implement ETL Requirements
Develop ETL Requirements to be implemented by IT
Write Processing scripts to Prepare data utilizing Perl, MS Access or other appropriate tool
Develop Business Object and other reporting on the Data Warehouse Structures for validating against Contract terms and reconciling with Financial Summaries
Develop and maintain SOP documentation for processing procedures
Technical Skills
Desirable
MS Office Suite
MS Access
Oracle PL/SQL query writing
Familiarity with High Level Programing
PERL and/or VBA/VBS programming
Business Objects report writing
Oracle data warehouse storage environments
Beneficial
ETL or HTML/XML languages
Ability to decipher SAS programming
MS Visio
Background
Previous Business Analyst role minimum 2 years
Previous workflow and work queue experience
Experience working with data warehouse/storage and ETL environments (Oracle/SAS) using query tools
Familiarity with Reporting software (Cognos, Business Objects, Crystal)
Insurance background a plus
