ResponsibilitiesBusiness Continuity Plan Strategy
- Support the implementation of strategies to facilitate IT Business Continuity Plan initiatives that cross IT functional areas in support of the company's business priorities
- Provide input in developing IT Business Continuity Governance criteria.
- Support the implementation of IT Business Continuity governance criteria.
- Advocate for use of good Business Continuity practices.
- Support compliance initiatives (eg IT Audit related to Business Continuity Plan) as needed.
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of industry standards and practices for business continuity.
- Support and advocate for recommended business continuity practice, guidelines, tools and methodologies for IT, leveraging industry standards and company business practices.
- Assess business continuity trends and develop recommendations.
- Provide guidance to determine how to implement Business Continuity Plan recommendations.
- Identify and monitor appropriate business continuity criteria across the company to assess the effectiveness of the IT business continuity programs related to critical systems (dashboard)
- Business Impact Analysis, peer deliverable review; Business Continuity Database entries
- Business Impact Analysis: Development
- Create Business Impact Analysis documents in accordance with applicable policy, process and procedure as per project request
- Review Business Impact Analysis documents to assess compliance with applicable IT Business Continuity Policy and Process.
- Participate in IT crisis simulation exercises
- Coordinates cross functional teams for defined business continuity related purpose, gathers and analyzes information for unique business continuity program initiatives.
- Responsible for meeting scope criteria.
- Participates in complex projects to provide IT business continuity expertise and direction at the division/business unit level for projects.
Must have a Bachelor's degree plus 5 - 10 years relevant IT experience. Business Continuity Planner designation preferred.
Must have the following: project management skills; strong facilitation skills; ability to establish a business case to obtain management support; above average presentation, interpersonal and writing skills. Proficiency with MS Office. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
