My client a leading Australian employer is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract basis with possibility of extensions! Reporting to the deputy Regional manager the successful candidate will be responsible for performing inventory management functions by operation of stock control computer and associated systems whilst ensuring effective customer service.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Prepare work orders as required.
  • Monitor the EO storage inventory with respect to routine inspection programs/shelf-life requirements.
  • Ensure the accurate operation of the inventory stock management system for the control of all aspects of EO storage, maintenance and distribution.
  • Provide guidance and assistance in the 'on the job' development of staff.
  • Plans and controls work activities including resource allocation and time management.
  • Prepare and provide relevant reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of quality work instructions.
  • Understands and implements regulatory requirements including but not limited to defence security, HS&E, EEO, work instructions, and technical instructions.
  • Participate in 'on-call' activities.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the storage of explosive ordnance in multiple buildings.
  • Undertake small projects within a facility.
  • Ensure associated stores, clerical and data processing work carried out.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Must have Defence Security Clearance (Secret).
  • May be required to work at other sites as agreed between the parties.
  • Infrequent lifting of stock up to 20kg.
  • Infrequent bending and squatting.
  • Infrequent forward/overhead reaching and movement of stock.
  • High level PC work.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle.
  • Frequent intrastate occasional interstate travel.
  • AQF Level IV Certificate in EO or TDT or equivalent, or ability to obtain
  • Good numeric, literacy interpersonal and comprehension skills.
  • Experience/knowledge in warehousing processes.
  • Advanced Data Entry capability.
  • Intermediate operations of Excel and Word.
