THE ROLE:
The Global Procurement Category Manager will act as the lead specialist for all Procurement activities in a specific category across the Group. The role will allow a specialist commercial focus to be applied to the largest categories of expenditure with the company's third party suppliers. By aggregating and co-ordinating expenditure across the Group, working closely with senior business users, and negotiating innovative and aggressive commercial terms at a global level, the role will consistently deliver value to the business.
The job holder will act as the ultimate subject matter expert and strategy owner for Procurement activities related to the specific Category and will ensure alignment of plans across the various commodities within the Category. The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring the assigned global savings target for the Category is achieved.
