Service Desk Analyst

2 month initial contract

My Public Sector client based in Bedfordshire is currently looking for an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join them on a 2 month initial contract.

Role Responsibilities:

* Responsible for providing product knowledge and ownership for 1st and 2nd line support and maintenance of issues raised by the user base and one or more technology solutions delivered by the team.
* Contribute to the delivery of a unified, high performing and customer-focused service desk and technical support function (for the technical service components) that acts as a single point of contract for service users on a day-to-day basis.
* Effectively support the service life cycle, kept up to date with technical and business process developments and participate in the sharing of expertise within the team.
* Fulfil service requests, maintaining customer satisfaction by the efficient handling of requests.
* Assist with the planned routine preventative maintenance and testing of services and systems supported and provided by Technical Delivery, as required.

Skills/experience required:

* Appropriate certification/training in technical disciplines incl. Microsoft, Citrix and VMWare
* Proven 1st line information and technology support experience (for solutions including Citrix, Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory and MFD printing solutions).
* Experience of working in a similar ICT environment.
* Experience of Customer and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
* Maintains appropriate level of knowledge of one or more technical delivery service component areas eg Citrix, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, enterprise-class printing and desktop solutions.
* Good organisational skills, able to ability to manage own workload under direction of superiors.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and contractors to create, maintain and develop effective working relationships.
* Able to work under pressure in environment of constant change to meet tight deadlines.
* Demonstrable ability to understand the underlying issues in complex problems or situations by correctly relating these to simpler or better understood concepts, models or previous experiences.
