Description
Primary Purpose / Basic Function:Define and continuously refine the V&V Strategy for the delivery of the highest quality software from the clients offshore development teams to the customer.
Provide Integration and Test expertise to the client, for automotive embedded applications across a variety of vehicle domains (e.g. infotainment systems, driver assistance, body electronics, etc.). Work with Technical Architects on projects to fulfill specific customer requirements.
This senior hands-on role will involve mentoring off-shore development teams. This role may also be customer-facing, operating in a support capacity.
Key Job Responsibilities:
" Validate embedded automotive SW applications customer requirements in coordination with the SW Architect and the development team
" Define technical acceptance criteria for projects with the SW Architect
" Generation of test plans, requirements, procedures and test coverage cross-reference matrices
" Set-up and manage the reference tool-chain (hardware and software)
" Liaise with off-shore development team regarding equipment usage, test procedures and results
" Scripting and test automation
" Perform acceptance test and release procedures before delivery of software to the customer
" Management of test logs and assignment of pass/fail verdicts
" Preparation of test reports
" Entry and tracking of problems in Issue Management System
" Writing technical notes for equipment and common test methods
Requirements:
" Good degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a reputable institution
" Experience of coding in C/C++
" Experience of scripting in one or more languages such as Perl, TCL/TcK, Python
" Experience of architectural design for SW systems
" Significant knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture standard
" Significant experience of developing automotive applications
" Test requirements analysis, specification and traceability
" Generation of test procedures from test requirements
" Experience of unit and integration testing
" Good communication skills: fluent English essential
" Experience of tools for requirements management, configuration management, issue tracking, etc.
" (Desirable) Experience of Agile development methods (Scrum, test-driven development, etc.)
" (Desirable) Knowledge of quality management processes for the software development lifecycle
" (Desirable) Knowledge of MISRA coding standard; Knowledge of Static Analysis Tools (LINT, Klocwork, QA-C)
" (Desirable) Networking: TCP/UDP/IP protocols or automotive bus systems (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
