MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER (ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE), GRIMSBY, £30,000-£35,000The company I am working for is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of hoses to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to recruit a skilled mechanical design engineer or mechanical draughtsman into their engineering and maintenance division.

Role Accountabilities
-Design new and improved equipment or facilities;
-Produce detailed drawings for quotation, construction and as built records;
-Coordinate procurement, assembly and commissioning of machinery to meet internal customer requirements;
-Produce specifications for quotation and purchasing purposes;
-Source new equipment and liaise with potential suppliers;
-Participate in machinery safety risk assessments;
-Control all aspects of projects by following agreed project management processes;
-Provide technical advice and assistance in individual areas of expertise;
Required Skills and Knowledge
-Wide knowledge of manufacturing equipment;
-Broad understanding of production processes;
-Health and Safety legislation and design codes;
-HNC in Mechanical discipline or equivalent;
-Proficient user of industry standard design software (AutoCAD or Solidworks);
-Computer literacy (MS Office and MS Project)
The successful candidate will capable of working independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will also need to be pro-active and possess strong written and communication skills.
