The subsea industry requires further advances in technology and reliability to fully capitalize on efficiency. Power connectors that support downhole and seabed high-voltage and high-current pumping systems are key elements of these technology advances. The client require an Electrical Power Engineer to support these development efforts through detailed electrical analyses, comprehensive qualification testing, and production-related stress screening as examples of key activities.

The main responsibilities include:

* Liaising with designers and materials specialists to deliver quality components on new and existing products.
* Developing electrical test facilities to undertake production and qualification tests in accordance with Client and Company specific test procedures.
* Compiling detailed technical reports on a project by project basis.
* Fault finding analysis and rectification on test equipment/new components/products during qualification.
* Continuing to develop electrical testing with a view to improving quality and delivery performance of products.
* Keeping abreast of the latest trends in test equipment and HV testing and cable termination techniques and testing standards; IEC, IEEE, etc.
* Providing hands on experience setting up new and routine tests such as HV, HC, Partial Discharge, and breakdown tests.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years industrial experience of electrical power engineering in transmission systems and components and will be educated to BSc, MSc or Degree level standard or equivalent in Electrical Power Engineering. Ideally, the successful candidate will have in-depth experience of medium voltage (6.6 - 36kVac) cable termination techniques.

This is an exciting role in a company that is growing vastly. If you would like to be considered for this role then please do not hesitate to forward the latest copy of your CV.
