Quality Improvement Lead-NHS

This role provides quality assurance services to a range of clinical commissioning groups, drawing together evidence and intelligence across the areas of patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness. The role is responsible for the monitoring of the clinical quality component of the NHS contract across a range of healthcare providers.

The role will produce regular quality reports, providing interpretation and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative information. The role will lead on performance management of adverse variance against quality standards and the reporting and management of provider's Serious Incidents Requiring Investigation (SIRIs). There will be some quality monitoring and quality report writing involved.

*You will seek out and encourage innovation and continuous improvement in quality

*You will interpret and promote national guidance and good practice in relation to quality

*Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children procedures

*Understanding of risk and clinical governance procedures

*Nursing or AHP qualified

*Expert knowledge in one of the following areas of practice:

*Mental Health

*Acute Hospital Services

*Care of Older People

*Community/Integrated Care

*Delivery of systems and processes to monitor the delivery of quality and standards for commissioned services;

*Delivery of a performance management system assuring CCG Boards and Quality Committees that the services are safe and of high quality;

*Patient experience intelligence systematically captured and used to inform quality improvement programmes;

*Performance monitoring of Serious Incidents Requiring Investigation for commissioned services;
