Description
An innovative and expanding animal health company is seeking a Continuous improvement Leader to join their team.Reporting to the CEO the successful candidate will have the following responsibilties:
- Communicate and facilitate the CI vision for the organisation, serving as a role model for CI behaviours and values.
- Engage with people at all levels within the business in order to promote awareness and engagement in lean activities.
- Develop a road map to embed lean principles.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation to ensure appropriate alignment of CI projects and business priorities.
- Coordinate the overall CI management activities within the governance framework including optimisation and maintenance of the infrastructure tools and templates.
- Organise and facilitate workshops on process improvement/value stream mapping across the business.
- Develop team leader and member skills in the areas of problem solving and continuous improvement and promote the use of lean tools and methodologies.
- Track and report progress (including financial benefits) on the programme to the Senior Management teams, project sponsor, process owner and the whole organisation.
- Lead yellow and green belt training with a view to the programme becoming self-sustaining.
- Lead and deliver site wide CI projects and initiatives (as appropriate).
- Ensure all change activities are conducted to the highest standards in a safe, compliant and effective manner.
Qualifications:
- Third level degree qualification in Science, Engineering or a relevant Quality discipline.
- Qualified black belt or equivalent with at least 2 years post qualification experience in Continuous Improvement.

- Curiosity/networking; can find, learn and impart best practices. The CI Leader needs to be the key driver of leveraging the CI network in Ireland and introducing best practices.
- Strong commercial awareness.
