Job DescriptionWe at Exentrique Solutions make XP-Dev.com which does version control and project hosting (in the same market as Github, Bitbucket, etc).
We are looking for backend and frontend engineers who would like to get their hands dirty in Subversion, Git and Mercurial.
You will be working on new features on the platform that may involve work on the whole stack. You will be liaising directly with real users. Deployments are really quick, and you get to see the impact of your work almost immediately.
Position location is remote, so you'll need to factor in working from home, or from a co-working (shared) space near you (all will be paid for).
There are plenty of benefits to working with us. There other products in the pipeline - most of which are akin to XP-Dev.com (hosting/productivity platforms with a web/mobile frontend). There is plenty of room to switch products and try out new things: deployer.vc, zoned.io amongst them. You get a chance to try out a variety of different technologies and platforms.
Additionally, we don't keep track of holidays, and as the position is remote, you basically set your own working hours. All work is based on deadlines, not hours spent.
Skills & Requirements
While our stack is based on Linux, Java, Python & AngularJS, what we really look for are self starters who have a sound understanding of programming. In other words, you do not need to be a skilled Java guru to join us.
