System Engineer - The Netherlands - Freelance, 1 year+
For one of our clients in the Netherlands we are looking for a System Engineer to work in Noord-Brabant. Are you a software engineer with several years of experience in a high tech environnement? Are you energetic, able to work on your own, but also a real teamplayer? Then you are the System Engineer we are looking for!
Within the Machine Control and Infrastructure group we need a person who can help us in getting structural improvements in place (solve current issues) in our SW issues on HW configurations. Think of: writing procedures on how to install/upgrade, handle End Of Life issues, design new features and directly pick up critical issues with our prototypes. The duration of the assignment is expected to stretch over a year.
Education / Skills
- Bsc/ Msc in electronics or technical software
- Several years of relevant experience.
- Experience with operating systems installation/ troubleshooting
- Good knowledge Redhat Linux/CentOS 6.x
- Vx- Works (must)
- Windows 7
- Optional experience: Windriver Linux SW, Make, GCC, Subversion, RPM-Build, optional Kickstart Scripting, Bash, Python, optional Perl Protocol knowledge and analysis, TCP/IP, TCP-dump, WireShark HW, Computer Blade Systems (IBM BladeCenter, X-ES SBC preferred), Industrial PC#s, Cisco, Firewall and switches. Optional: Experience with Network monitoring
