Description

We’re looking for a seriously amazing Front-End developer able to take on a gig that would kick off April 24th and end May 16th. Ideally, someone who’s had experience creating sites at the level of lostworldsfairs.com/atlantis, apps.npr.org/tshirt or everylastdrop.co.uk.

You’ll be given the site designs and backend will be another person, so I’m purely looking for someone who’s amazing at Front-End and has a good sense of design.

Our current site is escGoat.com – our plan is to rebuild from the ground up, simplifying the design and smoothing out the experience. Please take a look at the current site for a fairly good sense of the scope.

Project Challenges

Some of the Project Challenges:
  • Fluid parallax scrolling
  • Potentially implementing CSS3 animations
  • Older Browser / Mobile Support – (eg. IE8+, Android 4.0+) – Website should degrade nicely. We know the latest and greatest CSS Transforms and HTML5 aren’t going work in every browser and every device, but we’d like the site to still be usable on older browsers.
  • Quality pre-loader, if needed. Preferably built in a way where it’s not.
  • Responsive Design that works on mobile to giant screens with mobile first.
  • Automatically autoscrolls down when a video finishes playing
  • A bunch of other similar challenges

  • If you’re looking at that list and saying, “Yeah, so basically you want an amazing Front-End person. I get it. No need to list out HTML5, CSS3, jQuery/Javascript shenanigans, and other specific skills. That’s what Front-End is. Show me the mockups, and I can give you a legitimate estimate,” then great – you’re who I want to work with.
