6 month Java Developer contract Dublin City Centre
My financial services client based in Dublin City Centre is looking for an experience Java Developer with strong exposure with Spring, Struts and SQL. This is an initial 6 month contract with a strong potential for an extension
Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable about Web UI Front End development and understands challenges in implementing rich web interfaces using JSF.
Working on various aspects of an iterative software development life cycle to agreed standards and timelines.
Working closely with team members on deriving functional and technical requirements.
Capable of working in a standalone manner with minimal assistance from other team members.
Build high quality solutions using expertise in Java web development.
Experience and Qualifications:
Extensive experience using Java (Web development, J2EE).
Extensive experience working with web-based Java applications (JSF, Seam, RichFaces, Javascript, AJAX, JQuery, JSP, Struts).
Experience optimising performance of web applications.
Must have minimum 5 years of hands on experience developing web or Server Side applications, OOD, and working with design patterns.
Solid understanding of OO concepts (classes, objects, interfaces, inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism).
Experience with EJB3, Spring, Guice or similar frameworks.
Experience with JBoss, Weblogic or WebSphere.
Database experience - SQL (SQL Server/Oracle) is an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to react quickly to new demands in a dynamic business environment.
Sound analytical skills.
