DESCRIPTION:
- Develop an in-depth understanding on all aspects of an Enterprise Wide Risk implementation project. This includes both internally built and vendor components.
- Engage with all members of the project team (Internal and External) to ensure consistency between business requirements and overall end solution
- Work with relevant parties to identify and Remedy gaps in both requirements and solution.
- Gather, consolidate, interpret and document business requirements and solution design as needed
- Facilitate design and requirement walk-throughs
- Look for opportunities to improve collaboration, communication and productivity across functional groups
- Other duties as needed.
Skills (Mandatory):
- 10+ years of IT industry work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience delivering services and solutions specifically related to financial risk (market risk and credit risk)
- In-depth knowledge/experience in all aspects of the SDLC (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment)
- Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
- Excellent understanding of investment management concepts, processes and practices
- Knowledge of financial instruments including listed products, derivatives and structured products. Experienced with Financial risk management technologies, approaches and practices (market risk, credit risk, counterparty risk)
- Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and able to meet tight deadlines while delivering quality results
- Ability to adapt, to be flexible, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, organizational and system skills
- Track record of being able to effectively communicate and partner with both highly technical team members and the business counterparts
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at many levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
- Team player able to work with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
- Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or Accounting
- Candidate possessing CFA, FRM or similar designation is preferred
- Experience as a senior team member in the implementation of SunGard Adaptiv or other large risk solutions is an asset
