WordPress Developer for Exciting Yoga / Music Brand

Description

Wanderlust Festival is looking for a kickass WordPress ninja to build a world-class online marketing platform.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will be the the lead developer building a new, high caliber responsive website. You will be in charge of developing advanced features including: AJAX content filtering, responsive slideshows, responsive tabs, custom search, custom content types & more. You will also craft a drool-worthy responsive theme based on the Genesis framework. Please note: the site will experience extreme surges in traffic so optimization & caching, along with squeaky clean code are a must.

About You

You consider yourself a “full-stack” developer

You naturally and obsessively create clean, semantic HTML/(S)CSS

You have created multiple, demonstrable responsive websites that work flawlessly on all modern mobile devices

You can teach a class on WordPress

You have experience managing a team of developers

Your Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional WordPress development

Omnipotent knowledge of WordPress theme and plugin development (HTML, CSS/SASS, PHP and jQuery)

Expert knowledge of responsive/adaptive website coding

Experience building with the Genesis framework

Experience with caching and other website performance technologies/services

Experience with WP Engine

Experience with git

Passion for yoga or music a plus

Interested in longer term work
