Description

We are looking for an IT Security Analyst for our client in the Plymouth Meeting, PA area. They will be assisting in ensuring the security of information system assets and protect them from intentional or inadvertent access, disclosure, or destruction in accordance with company policies and industry standards in a regulated environment.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Assist project teams in the implementation of security controls to meet corporate security policies, procedures, and external regulations, eg, Sarbanes Oxley, PCI, and 21 CFR Part 11
  • Maintain appropriate security documentation for applications and systems
  • Assists in risk assessments and security audits of internal and external facilities against established standards
  • Monitor, distribute and analyze security alerts, reports, and information
  • Research new vulnerabilities and malicious software, reviewing the company's potential exposure to each.
  • Perform vulnerability testing and analysis on all network assets and applications/projects
  • Communicate security matters to IT and business managers
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Handle daily security related tasks, as well as projects as they are assigned
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer related discipline or 3-5 years of experience without
  • Certification in information security (Security+, GIAC GSEC, or equivalent) a plus
  • Strong understanding of information security principles
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with people and teams on projects and the ability to work in a team environment, sharing workloads and responsibilities
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products with emphasis on MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and Group Policies (GPO)
  • Familiarity with Firewalls, IDS/IPS's, Proxy's, DLP and other network/security controls
  • Understanding of data communication networks
  • Experience with security tools and systems
  • Linux experience a plus
