Certes have been instructed to recruit a Data Manager to join our public sector client based in Central London on an initial 6 month contract. The role will be paying between £450 and £500 per day.

Our client is looking to create a more efficient, digitalised customer centric business model by exploiting the data held by the organisation. The role requires an in-depth understanding of mapping, data analysis and visualisation and the required technology associated with that in addition to knowledge and experience of 'best-in-class' analytics and technology across a range of sectors.

This Data Manager will be responsible for:
* Programme management of a key enabling strand of the organisation's transformation programme involving the creation of robust and intelligent customer analysis processes and software to provide standardised and automated solutions to our customers interactions where possible;
* Leading the organisation's strategies based on data and insight;
* Building sustainable and valuable business solutions;
* Developing and driving customer insight, engagement and activation strategies for business sponsors, inspiring other parts of the organisation to know and understand their customers;
* Establishing a centre of expertise within the organisation, challenging current processes, embedding automated risk analysis into our interactions with taxpayers and supporting our move towards Real Time transactional analysis.

It is essential the post holder has in-depth, senior-level data exploitation experience in a complex organisation.

In addition the successful candidate will have:
. Extensive experience of information management, analytics etc in a commercial entity that is focused on customer service eg retail banking, telco, consultancy;
* Clear experience in "political" environments, ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, and ability to act as an evangelist for data across the department;
* Direct experience of the form, function and operation of complex Back Office operating models.
