Description

We are looking for somebody with a proven track record in scientific and high performance computing, parallel programming paradigms and languages (MPI and OpenMP), expertise in the use of gcc and Intel compiles, expertise in code and algorithmic tuning, affinity with the numerical linear algebra and numerical mathematics. Furthermore, it is a huge pre if the candidate has had experience with software development processes. If the candidate lacks that experience he/she should have an open attitude towards developing him/herself in that area (with guidance from staff and training).

The work the candidate performs

1) Benchmarking performance of critical asset models simulations using the latest product versions
2) Debottlenecking of performance blockers
3) Parallelizing those parts of our simulators that do not run in parallel yet
4) Improving the performance of algorithms
5) Implementing new algorithms
6) Participating in the software development process
7) Providing input for making a yearly program for HPC related work (writing use cases, user stories, estimating work, etc.)
