We are currently looking for an object leader to our Engineering competence centre to take on the challenge to plan and lead the design a future radio solutions. The work will be done in very close cooperation with our system design teams in Kista and Gothenburg and our head office in Chine. This is a technical role, not an administrative role.
Qualifications Required
We require at least +2 years of experience of driving studies of telecom concepts, with thermal or mechanical focus.
This has given the candidate a deep understanding of the buildup of telecom radio solutions for harsh environmental conditions, of installation requirements and of the thermal & EMC challenges. We hope that the candidate can take part in site solution discussions to find the optimal balance of functionality, integration level and total cost between the traditional site solution products
We expect also that the candidate has had some recent hands-on experience as a mechanical designer, thermal designer or system designer of radio concepts and RF products. i.e. base stations, RFU’s, TRU’s and RRU’s, It is good if these experiences have lasted for at least a couple of years.
This means experience of products with the high quality and the performance normally related to Radio products. Products that must also achieve low cost and high reliability and that are aimed for high volume production.
We believe that this has given the candidate an understanding of the die-casting process, of extruded/machined products, of sheet metal designs and of different cooling solutions.
Experience of System design or intense interaction with System design team are also highly appreciated.
For this position we also value experiences of the ‘platform, concept & product portfolio’ discussions that take place during the initial phases of a product lifecycle.
The candidate can of course communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
We require Bachelor Degree, Masters in mechanical engineering or equivalent background

Knowledge of ETSI and NEBS mechanical standards for telecom equipment is interesting.
